About the Project

Connecting Communities Through Creative Expression

Project "Climate f(r)iction – creative path for young activists" brings together artists, educators, and communities from across Europe to explore the intersections of memory, environment, and creative practice. Through short movies, performances, and collaborative storytelling, we investigate how shared narratives can inspire collective action.

Our main preoccupation is how to give young people a new perspective on their role regarding climate and environmental challenges. During this project we reached young people from urban and rural communities; we listened to their stories and ideas and shared with them our experience when it comes to environmental and social activism.

Our three main educational modules

Our three main educational modules—Community Memory, Climate Fiction, and Boiler House—each offer unique approaches to engagement. Participants learn to document oral histories, craft speculative narratives about environmental futures, and to use their bodies and minds in order to create a unique performing art pieces.

The project is coordinated by partner organizations in Croatia (Thirdspace), Italy (Cinegiovani), and Portugal (Cais 1515), bringing diverse perspectives to questions that affect us all: How do we remember? How do we imagine what is to come? And how can creativity help us navigate the challenges of our time?

The project entitled "Climate f(r)iction" – a creative path for young activists, code number 2024-3-HR01-KA210-YOU-000295206, is financed by the European Union through the Erasmus+ program.
